Clothing Assistance – Our Closet
Our Closet provides free, quality clothing to those in need in a warm and welcoming environment. We do so via pop-up shops, In Your Neighborhood visits, and our emergency package delivery program.
Anyone in need is welcome to shop for clothing items, shoes, and accessories at host sites across Philadelphia. There are no referrals required or forms to fill out. Volunteers and staff assist shoppers in finding items they need that match their sizes and styles. Pop-up shop sites include churches, synagogues, hospitals, and community centers.
Emergency Package Delivery Program
Launched during the COVID-19 crisis, this emergency program delivers customized packages of much needed clothing to community members. This program continues to serve homebound individuals and those without transportation to our pop-up shops.
Volunteers are central to Our Closet. There are multiple meaningful ways to get involved: sorting and packing clothing at our warehouse in Springfield, Delaware County; working directly with shoppers to provide a warm, dignified experience at a pop-up shop; and joining us at In Your Neighborhood visits. Individuals, families, school groups, and corporate volunteers are all welcome.
Clothing donations are core to the work of Our Closet, and we are so appreciative of all who help in this way. We accept casual clothing for women, men, and children of all ages, in excellent condition (please no stains or tears and clothing that is not overly worn).
To receive needed clothing, make an appointment to donate clothing at our warehouse, or get involved as a volunteer, please visit www.ourclosetpa.org.
