Philadelphia is well known for being one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in the country. Over recent years, more initiatives and programming specifically for LGBTQ Jewish communities are popping up and becoming more visible. One robust resource is called J.Proud Jewish Philly LGBTQ Consortium. You can visit the site at www.jproud.org for all things Jewish LGBTQ in the Greater Philadelphia area. For social events, another great resource and member of J.Proud is Spectrum Philly found at www.spectrumphilly.org. They host fun events for LGBTQ Jews in their 20’s/30’s. For adults over 40, check out another J.Proud member, Jewish Federation’s affinity group Jewish Pride, at https://www.jewishphilly.org/get-involved/federation-groups/jewish-pride and JFCS at www.jfcsphilly.org.

There are a lot of fun things for LGBTQ Jews in the city. The resources above will be a great place to start!
