Do-It-Yourself
You don’t need a JFCS volunteer program or event to get involved and give back; you can help JFCS and those we serve from the comfort of your own home!
There are so many ways to contribute the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) way. Some ideas:
Start A Clothing Drive
Contact friends, family, neighbors, and/or colleagues and ask them to contribute clothing items for Our Closet. Then make an appointment to drop off at our warehouse.
Make Cards
JFCS serves many individuals who are homebound and isolated. A warm message or child’s drawing can really brighten someone’s day, making them feel acknowledged and cared for.
Run A Toy Drive
Put the word out that you’re collecting toys to donate to children in need for the holidays. JFCS takes donations of new toys for Hanukkah and Christmas, making sure families facing financial challenges can provide the joy of the season to their children.
Bake Sale
What better way to raise some money than with a bake sale! Sell your treats to collect money to donate to the JFCS program of your choice. No amount is too small; every little bit has the power to make a positive impact.
